Top Man is the fascinating, inspirational and informative autobiography of popular former footballer and radio journalist Geoff Twentyman.
Brought up in the footballing heartlands on Merseyside, Geoff junior is the son of former Liverpool player and later legendary scout Geoff senior.

Released from his beloved Reds as a teenager, Geoff plied his trade in non-league football before a chance to become professional came at Preston North End. A cultured central defender, he was signed by Bobby Gould and quickly gained legendary status with Rovers fans due to his total commitment; he was made club captain and as skipper he led the ‘Gas’ through one of their most successful periods.

He became a staple on the sports desk at BBC Radio Bristol, fronting the station’s sports shows. With a reputation for a no-nonsense approach with players and managers of both Bristol clubs, he went onto win the respect of the red half of the city, and continued to entertain with his brilliant sports coverage over the next three decades.
