The tester can be used as a digital brake fluid tester suitable for determining the quality of brake fluid. Developed for professional use in automotive workshops and maintenance. The quality is tested and indicated by five LEDs in terms of the percentage of water in the brake fluid.

Ready for brake fluid testing

Unscrew the brake fluid reservoir and remove the cap from the brake fluid tester.

Immerse the test probes in the brake fluid up to the plastic edge of the unit.

To check the quality of the fluid

Press the button to turn on; the green LED will light up. Insert the tester into the reservoir for one second, and the tester's results will be correctly indicated by the LEDs. Press the button again to turn off. The tester will automatically turn off after approximately 15 seconds of inactivity.

Tester instructions:

The brake fluid detection pen is based on changes in conductivity to determine the moisture content of the brake fluid. It clearly shows the extent of moisture content with an LED; a high moisture content will result in a lower boiling point and affect braking performance. Red indicates that the brake fluid must be changed immediately, green indicates good condition, yellow indicates acceptable condition but replacement is needed soon.

1. Green LED lights up = water content in brake fluid (H2O) 1.5%, the brake fluid is good.

2. Yellow LED lights up = water content in brake fluid (H2O) = 1.5% to 3%, can continue to be used, retest in six months.

3. Red LED lights up = water content in brake fluid (H2O) 3%, can no longer be used, the brake fluid must be changed. Red LED: change brake fluid.

4. Flashing red LED: Battery replacement

5. Yellow LED: Low moisture content, recheck in six months

6. Green LED: Brake fluid lines / cell area

Press the power button to turn on; the green LED indicates a healthy battery. If the green LED does not light up, the battery needs to be replaced.

Automatic shutdown

Technical parameters:

Green: Battery OK, i.e., the brake fluid contains no water

Green/yellow: brake fluid with a water content of less than 1%, better brake fluid performance, easy to use.

Green/yellow/yellow: brake fluid with a water content of about 2%, the brake fluid can continue to be used.

Green/yellow/yellow/red: brake fluid with a water content of at least 4%, the brake fluid must be changed immediately, it is very dangerous.

Warning:

1. Replace the battery if the green LED no longer lights up after the power button is pressed. Wash the test probe with tap water after use.

2. In case of skin contact with brake fluid, thoroughly wash the affected skin or clothing with water.
