The meter is a gauge for measuring the thickness of paint coatings with an accuracy of 20 microns. It is used for quick and accurate checking if the vehicle has been repainted. The paint meter has a color scale in micrometers which makes it very easy to read the thickness of the paint, even for those checking the car for the first time. The tester requires no battery power, calibration and can be used for many years. It is a meter and tester as it performs the function of measuring the thickness of paint and performs the function of quick testing. It is used to detect the thickness of paint layers invisible to the eye on vehicles made of sheet metal and galvanized steel. The tester lets you know if a car accident is hidden under the beautiful paint. Here's how it works: The thickness of the paint is measured by touching the tip of the tester with the magnet to the surface being tested (the surface must be clean and free of dust). With a monotonous, not too fast movement, we pull the tester until the magnet detaches from the tested surface. During this operation, a colorful scale is displayed. The thickness of the paint coating is read in micrometers with an accuracy of 25 microns. The end of the measurement is the highest indication on the tester's scale, and at this moment the scale automatically disappears. The individual colors on the scale indicate: 1. Black color - coating with a thickness of over 520 - surface and varnished (amount of approx. 0.5 mm). 2. Red color - coating with a thickness of 300 to 520 microns - surface after sheet metal repairs + a second varnish. 3. Yellow color - coating with a thickness of 200 to 300 microns - after varnish repairs ( \"second varnish \"). 4. Green color - coating with a thickness of 100 to 200 microns for original varnishes. Warning; in newer car models, 180 micron thickness can indicate a thin layer of the second paint. 5. Blue color - coating with a thickness of 0.0 to 100 microns - a thin layer of paint (paint without primer or repeatedly) size: 13 cm Material: Plastic + Metal Color: As shown Package contents: 1 * Car Thickness Gauge Only the above package content, other products are not included. Note: Light reflection and different displays may cause the color of the item in the picture a little different from the real thing. The allowed measurement error is +/- 1-3 cm.
