4. The AS5048 provides PWM output and SPI or I2C interface to provide absolute angle measurement for the microcontroller. In the mechanical design, there is no need to consider the precise pairing of the chip's initial 0-position and the magnetic poles of the magnets it uses. 6. The AS5048 magnetic rotary encoder can provide more accurate measurement than previous Austrian microelectronic magnetic rotary encoder products. Its 14-bit measurement analog front-end provides a measurement resolution as low as 0.0219 degrees. Through linearization and averaging by the microcontroller, the angle measurement can be accurate to 0.05 degrees.
