Instructions:

You must have the tools to disassemble the crankcase!

Step 1: Center the splitter/separator over the exposed crankshaft end. Back out the threaded shaft until the splitter is above the crankshaft and the arms are parallel and equidistant from the housing.

Step 2: Install the puller evenly around the crank and connect the puller to the crankcase with the included 6mm or 8mm bolts. (Sometimes only two arms are needed; if so, distribute them evenly.)

Step 3. It is very important that the puller is correctly aligned with the crank and that the arm is parallel to the housing.

Step 4. Make sure all bolts are removed from the crankcase.

Step 5. Use a 17mm socket or wrench and gently tighten the threaded shaft until the housing is free from the crank.

Important: Since the bike has been assembled for a while, things can get stuck, and you must be very careful to not only ensure that the force is even, but also gradually increase the force (the trick is to tap gently with a small hammer), otherwise you could damage the puller or the crankcase.
