Product Description

Product Summary:
A complete set of 33 sketching tools designed to facilitate blending, shading, and cleaning of pastel, charcoal, chalk, and graphite drawings.

Product Parameters:
The set includes 33 tools: 16 blending stumps (solid, sizes #1–#8, 2 of each), 12 tortillions (hollow, sizes #1–#4, 3 of each), 2 sandpaper sharpening blocks (12 sheets total), 1 pencil extender, 1 kneaded eraser, and 1 rubbing sponge (blue). The tools are made of soft compressed gray paper.

Main Features:
Blending stumps and tortillions are used for smudging, creating shadows, softening lines, blending, or smoothing out drawings. The sandpaper sharpening blocks are used to sharpen charcoal pencils, graphite pencils, stumps, and tortillions. The pencil extender makes handling the tools easier. The kneaded eraser is used to create bright and smooth surfaces by removing pigment. The blue rubbing sponge is soft, washable, and reusable; it is used to apply or remove graphite/charcoal to create atmospheric effects such as clouds or fog, as well as to add texture and depth to the artwork.

Applications:
Sketching with pastel, charcoal, chalk, and graphite.
