Description

This is a discrete TPM 2.0 module for desktop PC motherboards. It has an ultra-compact horizontal form, so it will not conflict with other components (e.g. your graphics card) or cables. It was originally designed and manufactured for industrial field applications, with excellent reliability.

Generally, discrete TPM module solutions are more reliable than fTPM solutions. In addition, they can help you avoid some strange problems that people have experienced with fTPM, such as:

Encryption key data being erased during BIOS update.

Authorization information being lost or invalidated after the CPU is upgraded or replaced (even happens when replacing an old CPU with an identical model).

Random CPU stuttering or performance issues, especially on Windows 11 and for Ryzen 5000 series CPUs.

Installation

You can easily install the module yourself with just a few steps.

Turn off your PC and then connect the TPM module to your motherboard.

Start the PC, enter the BIOS, and enable the TPM 2.0 option.

Restart to Windows, and Windows will do the rest of the work for you. Windows will then perform the initialization and configuration work in the background silently, and you don't need to do anything.

If you wish, you can inspect the TPM module's information and status in Device Manager or TPM management.
